Our Sheriff and Deputies patrol the County, answer calls for service, check churches, residences, and businesses, serve papers and provide security for the Superior, State, Probate, and Magistrate’s Courts of Jenkins County. We also are responsible for transportation of Juvenile offenders and Mental Health patients from Jenkins County to various State facilities and back for Court appearances. The Sheriff is charged with the operation of the Jenkins County Jail. Our Dispatcher / Jailers answer telephones, radios, and personal calls for service, while supervising the operation of the Jail.
